About Us

Established in 2003

How we started

Previous to the club being established, year-level based teams led by teachers competed in a Saturday morning interschool competition. This competition was replaced by SCISSA sport on a Thursday afternoon. With many keen netballers still wanting to compete on a Saturday morning Flinders Netball Club was formed and joined the Sunshine Coast Netball Association with games played at the Maroochydore Multisport complex on Fisherman’s Road.

Today

Flinders Netball provides opportunities to students at Matthew Flinders Anglican College and also to young people in our local community by making sport accessible, enjoyable and challenging. We provide these outcomes in a supportive community to help participants develop their skills, character and networks.

In 2023 we added “FORCE” to our club’s name to better distinguish our volunteer operated club for the Flinders College Netball. We are a true force in netball on the coast, striving to do better every year as we grow and develop our players and coaches.
